‘Death’ is now Null and void

It’s a miracle!

Gary Null, the alternative health guru who claimed in a $10 million lawsuit filed earlier this week that he suffered lasting injuries and almost died from using his own Ultimate Power Meal, says he’s now the picture of health.

“I am completely and totally healthy and everything is fine,” Null said in a statement on his website, where he portrays the “near death” experience he suffered from consuming Gary Null’s Ultimate Power Meal as no big deal.

His suit said the product had 1000 times more Vitamin D – 1 million IU per serving – in it than the label claimed, causing him “extreme fatigue” and worse for the month he consumed it. Null suffered “extreme cracks and bleeding from the skin within his feet,” and “was forced to remain in bed with his feet elevated because of the pain he was experiencing from the product.”

It also claimed the health nut was still suffering from the effects of the December OD, even after fasting and drinking nothing but water in an attempt to cleanse his sytem.

“It took three months to get his blood seemingly back to where he was able to function. Even now, Null’s condition is questionable as he continues to occasionally urinate blood. Unfortunately, there is no medical treatment for this as it is a matter of waiting, watching and observing what develops next,” says the suit, which was signed and filed in Manhattan Supreme Court on April 26. He suffers “and will continue to suffer bodily pain and severe mental anguish.”

What a difference two days makes.

In his April 28 statement, Null said, “Despite what the media is now reporting, I have returned to complete health.” “Fortunately, only one lot of Power Meal was defective and none of product reached the retail market. Nevertheless, I had taken far larger amounts over an extended period of time than anybody else. Fortunately Vitamin D dissipates quickly in the body,” the statement said.

That statement was later taken down and replaced with another.

“A short period of time (more than 5 months ago) I had more vitamin D in my body than normal. I am completely and totally healthy,” Null said .”

Asked about the discrepancies between Null’s statements and his suit, his lawyer, Leslie Fourton, declined comment, citing the pending litigation.
