‘Slay’ prof’s method & madness

The method to her madness was chillingly scientific.

The unhinged, Obama-“obsessed” professor charged in last week’s deadly university rampage in Alabama methodically shot her victims in the head until her gun jammed and she was shoved out the door by a colleague, a survivor said.

Amy Bishop, 44, “got up suddenly, took out a gun and started shooting at each one of us,” said Associate Professor Joseph Ng, who was one of 12 people in the room at the University of Alabama-Huntsville.

“She started with the one closest to her, and went down the row shooting her targets in the head,” he said. “The remaining five, including myself, were on the other side of the table [and] immediately dropped to the floor.”

Bishop, a neurobiologist who the Boston Herald reported is “obsessed” with the president, shot six of her colleagues, killing three, authorities said.

The massacre stopped only when Bishop’s gun appeared to jam, allowing her friend, Professor Debra Moriarty, to push toward her, urge her to stop, and then shove her out the door of the office, witnesses said.

Moriarty told the Chronicle of Higher Education that she acted because “I was thinking, ‘Oh, my God, this has to stop!’ ”

As she pushed Bishop out of the room, Moriarty said, she was shocked to see her colleague’s “intense eyes.”
