Mark Wahlberg working ‘Highway to Heaven’ remake

Mark Wahlberg, who’s always kept his hand in the TV producing pie, is working on resurrecting “Highway to Heaven,” which starred Michael Landon as an angel on probation and aired from 1984-89 on NBC.

Like “Wahlburgers,” “Highway” would air on A&E and is being written by former “Hell on Wheels” showrunner John Wirth. Walhberg would executive-produce the show, along with several others.

In the original series, Landon starred as Jonathan Smith, an angel who’s sent to Earth on probation and is guided by his human companion, Mark Gordon (Victor French), as he helps troubled people overcome their problems.
