On the Ledger

The SoHo apartment where actor Heath Ledger lived — and tragically died of an overdose in 2008 — is unofficially back on the market for $5 million.

Sources who have toured the 4,400-square-foot, fourth-floor unit at 421 Broome St. say it has been gut-renovated but still needs a lot of work. It has been open to potential buyers for at least a week and could be officially listed within days. The condo is in a 1920 cast-iron industrial building sold for $15 million to Donald Burns of Palm Beach Mortgage managment in a foreclosure auction last year.

Scoping out ‘sketch’ pad

“Saturday Night Live” star Bill Hader is looking to rent a new apartment. The funnyman just saw an $8,400-per-month, two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit at the Philip Johnson-designed Urban Glass House at 330 Spring St. Core’s Tom Postilio, the apartment’s listing broker and a star of HGTV’s “Selling New York,” had no comment.

Combo mambo for Mizrahi

Looks like fashion designer and QVC personality Isaac Mizrahi — who is currently hosting Bravo’s “The Fashion Show” with Iman — has designs on creating a big dream apartment at 59 W. 12th St.

Mizrahi is in contract to buy a two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo in the prewar Emery Roth-designed building (where Cameron Diaz has a place). The Greenwich Village apartment’s most recent asking price was $2.25 million — down from last year’s $2.4 million. Mizrahi bought a one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit on the same floor earlier this year for $1.1 million. Spies say he plans to create a stunning home out of the combined space for himself, his partner, Arnold Germer, and their adorable dog, Harry.

The seller of both apartments is Jack Kliger, CEO of TV Guide and former CEO of Hachette Filipacchi Media. Mizrahi’s spokeswoman did not get back to us.

Where’s the Love?

Poor Courtney Love. Although the rocker widow has been tweeting and blabbing about how she is about to move into Milla Jovovich’s groovy $7.5 million townhouse at 100 Greenwich Ave., it turns out that she spoke too soon.

The fully renovated mansion with a Greek Revival façade, four bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and five fireplaces was nabbed from under her nose by a mystery last-minute higher bidder. And so, from her base at the Mercer hotel, Love’s house-hunting saga continues.

Love’s broker, Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group, did not get back to us.

Justin Timberlake isn’t just a talented musician. It also looks like he’s an astute deal-maker.

We were the first to tell you Timberlake had signed a contract for a $7.65 million penthouse condo at Soho Mews. Now we can tell you that the sale closed for a lot less — Timberlake paid around $6.4 million.

The three-bedroom, 3½-bathroom residence at 311 West Broadway is 2,598 square feet and also comes with a private 853-square-foot wraparound terrace. Two years ago, the apartment’s asking price was $8.66 million.

We hear . . .

That billionaire Henry Silverman and his fiancée, Karen, are very happy with their new townhouse on the Upper West Side and are not looking at any other real estate . . . THAT Caroline Hirsch and Andrew Fox, at their stunning home near the United Nations, feted Town & Country’s first-ever book about interior design . . . THAT at a foodie bash celebrating Lee Brian Schrager’s new cookbook at Barneys, there was buzz about a prominent restaurateur who is mulling over an offer to go public with his house hunt on “Selling New York.”
