Demi Lovato won’t be home for Thanksgiving — but she’ll be surrounded by her family nonetheless.
The star of Disney Channel’s “Sonny With a Chance,” who entered a rehab facility earlier this month to deal with “emotional and physical issues,” will remain in rehab for Turkey Day.
Her family, however, “will be there to celebrate Thanksgiving with her,” Lovato’s rep told people.com, rebutting previous reports that had Lovato returning home for the holiday.
“She remains committed first and foremost to her treatment,” the rep said. “Demi has made tremendous progress to date, but understands that she has more work to do.”
Lovato, 18, also starred in Disney’s “Camp Rock” movies and was on an international tour as a guest of the Jonas Brothers when she checked herself into rehab.
It’s not known what Lovato is dealing with specifically, but a source told the Associated Press that she had previously dealt with an eating disorder and cutting herself.
