RICK: DON’T LOOK AT ME

Rick Pitino, who ran the Knicks from 1987 to 1989, said he’s done with coaching in the NBA and would not be interested if Donnie Walsh came calling.

“It’s a young man’s game,” Pitino told The Post. “I’m 55 now. I take 15 hours now to prepare for one game. I don’t know how I’d do that 90 times a year. I take my hat off to Pat Riley and Phil Jackson. I don’t know how they do it.”

Pitino, king of the University of Louisville, was Mark Jackson’s favorite coach. Pitino is rooting for Jackson to get the job and plans to huddle with him if it happens.

With Sam Vincent fired in Charlotte, Knicks assistant Herb Williams could get a crack at the Bobcats head coaching job, if the favorite Larry Brown passes. Williams interviewed with part owner Michael Jordan last spring. Nevertheless, Williams and assistant Dave Hanners likely could be added to Brown’s coaching staff.
