Cops on patrol arrest knife-wielding man minutes after attack

Two on-duty cops driving in Harlem Wednesday morning nabbed a crazed attacker they spotted carrying a bloodied knife he had just used to stab his stepfather to death, sources said.

The officers were on patrol near W. 139th Street and Lenox Avenue at around 9 a.m. when they came upon Elliot Waldean, 32, standing over his step-father’s bloody body just moments after stabbing him multiple times in the torso, the sources said.

The killer then tried to make a run for it but was but was caught by cops four blocks later.

“The cops just rolled up on as the attack was in motion,” according to one source. The cops saw the man covered in blood still gripping the knife in his hand.

Waldean, who sources described as, “a bit of a kook,” was in some type of argument with step-father Ashford Geddes before the fatal stabbing. He is currently being questioned at the 32nd Precinct stationhouse.

Geddes was taken to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
