What’s Weiner up to? Handing out turkeys

Weiner’s touting turkey!

Forget politics — wannabe mayor Anthony Weiner is now working as the official press contact for a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway at a food pantry in Queens.

The ex-congressman said he is handling media inquiries for the River Fund Client Choice Food Pantry in Richmond Hill, where he volunteers every Saturday.

“They don’t have a big press center here, so I volunteered to help them — they’re a very impressive bunch,” he told The Post on Saturday, adding he will help prepare and distribute hundreds of turkeys to low-income families.

“I’m paring onions right now,” he added.

Weiner said he doesn’t plan to tackle a whole new career in public relations but he may use his experience in politics to help the organization draw more media attention in the future.

He will be on site all day, along with Queens Borough President-Elect Melinda Katz, state Sen. Malcolm Smith, City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz, who will help give away roughly 1,000 turkeys.

“It’s an amazing organization – there’s always a line of families around the block,” Weiner said.

Officials will also discuss plans to address benefit cuts to the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, which helps low-income families fight hunger.
