A new release date for ‘August’

“August: Osage County,” starring Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, is postponing its release date.

The Weinstein Co. film about family dysfunction was set for a Christmas Day opening, but is being pushed back to Dec. 27 — a Friday.

The Post reported last week that with seven movies scheduled to open on Dec. 25, overall box office sales could be hurt. Last Christmas, there were four openings.
