‘Girls’ still trying to figure things out in season 3 trailer

If the season 3 trailer is any indication, HBO’s “Girls” still don’t have it quite together.

Lena Dunham’s Golden Globe-winning comedy returns to HBO Jan. 12 with back-to-back episodes at 10 p.m.

When we last left the gang of four hapless 20-something Brooklyn girls in the show, Dunham’s Hannah Horvath was near breakdown mode, with her OCD flaring up so much, she got a Q-Tip stuck in her ear — and got back together with Adam, her strange, on-again, off-again love interest, played by Adam Driver. Meanwhile, Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) had called it off with Ray (Alex Karpovsky), the sarcastic slacker who took her V card; Marnie (Allison Williams) was in the throes of an “It’s complicated” relationship with her newly successful ex, Charlie (Christopher Abbott); and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) was MIA and not returning Hannah’s calls.

In the trailer for the upcoming season, we see that Marnie must be on her own (especially since Abbott quit the show before filming began for this season); Jessa is embarking on more Bohemian adventures; Hannah looks like she’s landed an office job, though she seems as insecure as ever; and Shoshanna is trying to pull her life together after the big breakup.
