Fox renews ‘Dads’ for full season

“Dads” will stick around long enough to finish out the season.

Fox has ordered nine more episodes of the sitcom, giving it a full-season order.

The series, produced by “Family Guy”/ “American Dad” creator Seth MacFarlane, centers around two young guys (Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi), whose fathers (Martin Mull, Peter Riegert) move in with them.

“Dads” is the third new Fox show to get a full season order,.

It joins Andy Samberg’s sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and the Monday-night drama “Sleepy Hollow,” which has already been renewed for a second season.

“Fox has been looking to break into the multicamera format for some time,” Fox Entertainment chief Kevin Reilly said in a statement. “With ‘Dads,’ we have an asset that we can grow.”
