PSAL boys basketball roundup: Clarida’s free throw sinks Edison

Sasha Clarida scored 33 points, including the game-winning free throw, as Campus Magnet (2-4) picked up its second league win, 78-77, over Thomas Edison in Queens AA action Thursday evening. The Inventors, which got 20 points from Kristopher Owens, dropped its third straight league game, falling to 3-3.

Forest Hills 56, Bayside 49: Maurice Harkless had 23 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks for Forest Hills (5-0) in Queens AA. Bayside is 1-5.

John F. Kennedy 54, Gompers 48: Jeffrey Short had 25 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists and Naquan Pierce added 17 points for Kennedy (7-0) in Bronx AA. Carlos Galan scored 15 points for Gompers (3-5) in the loss.

Benjamin Cardozo 80, Flushing 30: Ryan Rhoomes scored 16 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and Dwayne Brunson added 19 points and 10 boards for Cardozo (5-0) in Queens AA. Reynaldo Walters had 16 points. Flushing is 1-5.
