Instant replay: Jets fan gets manhandled by Indy cops

Talk about committing unnecessary roughness!

Indy cops manhandled a Jets fan from New Jersey while they attempted to arrest him — clearly overreacting while a nearby crowd of blue-clad Colts fans watched, according to a video of the incident.

A video posted on YouTube Monday shows two Indianapolis cops rushing to arrest Patrick Mallon, a construction worker from Brick, NJ.

The video shows the cops swooping in to bust Mallon, 26, who’s only crime it appears is shrugging at them once they pulled up.

One of the officers pushed Mallon on the rear hood of the squad car and proceeded to cuff him.

Stunned Jet and Colts fans watched in shock and awe — with some Gang Green faithful chanting, “ass h—-” — as one of the officers threatened to use a stun gun on Mallon.

In an interview with The Post, Mallon said he got “a raw deal” when he was arrested outside Lucas Oil Stadium following the Jets heartbreaking loss to the Colts in the AFC Championship game.

“I shrugged at him and he jumped out of his car,” he said. “I never thought I’d wind up in jail.”

Fans began shouting, “Let him go! Let him go!” as Mallon was hauled off in cuffs.

Cops claim he tossed beer at the crowd, although Mallon has denied that. The video does not show Mallon doing anything improper.

Mallon spent the night in jail before he was released on Monday morning.

Officer Justin Staley, of the Whitestown police department, said he pulled the stun gun on Mallon, but never tasered him, because he was resisting arrest.
