NJ Transit bus involved in turnpike crash

Several people were injured late Friday when a commuter bus was involved in a crash with two other vehicles on the New Jersey turnpike, the New Jersey Star Ledger reported on its web site.

Rescue crews were on the scene but authorities said none of the injuries appeared be life-threatening.

The crash happened just before rush hour and involved a New Jersey transit bus, a rack body truck and a car.

Crews were planning on helping passengers escape through windows because the bus doors were no longer working, according to the Star-Ledger.
