Jon: Kate hate on hold for Christmas

It’s going to be a jolly, holly, awkward holiday at the Gosselin homestead.

Jon Gosselin says he and estranged wife Kate are calling a temporary halt to hostilities when he heads home to the “Jon & Kate Plus 8” house for Christmas this year.

“Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are joint-shared custody days, which means we’re both in the house,” he told popeater.com.

Even though the limelight-loving duo are waging fierce divorce proceedings against each other — the last major drama happened last month, when Kate realized that Jon had drained a joint bank account of $200,000 — Jon promises that Christmas for the kids will be just like it’s always been for the family.

“They do the stockings early Christmas morning,” Jon said. “Kate makes sticky buns . . . That way they have the sense of security with everything that’s going on.”

The only thing that might stand in the way of tradition as usual, though, is the fact that “there’s a lot of paparazzi, so who knows?”

In addition to the divorce proceedings, Jon is currently being sued by TLC for breach of contract.

He is reportedly counter-suing for $5 million. Last September, TLC announced that he was being dumped from the series, which would be revamped as “Kate Plus 8,” focusing solely on Kate as a single mom.

It’s unclear if “Kate Plus 8” will ever see the light of day.
