Who loves the Lady? You!

Last Sunday’s story by Sara Stewart about Lady Gaga being over-hyped drew a storm of protest from her fans via Twitter and e-mail. But more than a few readers thought we were dead-on. Here’s a sample:

* “You really need to re-evaluate your remarks regarding Lady Gaga. You have no clue what you are saying. She is THE Voice!” — PrestoMajic

* “To be the first artist to ever have four No. 1 singles on a debut album speaks a lot more loudly than you, comparing her vocals to Christina Aguilera and coming up with lame names like ‘Craparazzi.’ Everything she does she puts her heart and soul into 100 percent. And her videos and outfits are a lot less sexual and revealing than other female artists.” — Jillian Kenderish

* “Uh-oh, now you’ve done it. You’ve messed with the wrong person. Gaga’s monsters are after you and they’re FIERCE!!” — RachelWithLovex

* “I’ve seen Gaga’s stunts done a million times — everyone likes to play dress up. Show me talent, real vocal talent and then we will talk. She does have a way with producing and her voice isn’t half bad, but if I wanted a show I would go to the Big Apple Circus.” — Asia

* “Your article on Gaga was horrible. You’re just jealous of her great beauty and talent. Die. Die. Die.” — Graham Mitchell

* “She writes her own music! Isn’t that better than Britney miming to some song a stranger wrote for her? Gaga worked her way up from the bottom, unlike most pop stars today.” — Jack Campbell

* “Have some respect for an artist who is dedicated to her fans. You are so poisonous to say she is dull and boring when she is making sold-out tours. Don’t hate because you ain’t.” — Hollie L. Simmons

* “She is a fading gimmick. You will probably get a lot of flack for it, but just know there are WAY more people who love what you wrote.” — Darcy B.

* “You don’t understand Gaga’s struggle for Fame, which is an art in itself.” — Inuspal
