Grammer lesson

Kelsey Grammer is about to settle a $50 million tab to bring the curtain down on his troubled marriage.

And that might actually be a pretty sweet deal for the “Cheers” and “Frasier” star.

Grammer and his estranged wife, Camille Donatacci, are on the verge of splitting their financial empire 50/50, as in $50 million each from the couple’s $100 million in holdings, according to a report yesterday.

Through 13 years of marriage, Grammer and Donatacci built a fortune that includes homes in Los Angeles, Hawaii, Colorado, New York City and the Hamptons.

On her “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” show, Donatacci has boasted — with no retort from Grammer — that she’s the brains of their financial world.

“I’m the powerhouse behind Kelsey Grammer,” she said.

Donatacci is largely credited with parlaying Grammer’s “Frasier” money into a massive fortune through shrewd real-estate deals and a profitable production company. Their Grammnet Inc. has produced “Medium” and “Girlfriends.”

The divorce will end a painfully awkward split that unfolded on “Real Housewives.”

Cameras captured Grammer, 55, telling his wife on the phone he didn’t want her to visit him in New York, where he was performing in “La Cage Aux Folles” on Broadway.

“I knew that old memories and emotions would be stirred up,” Donatacci, 47, wrote on her blog about having to watch her marriage’s disintegration on TV.

“What I didn’t expect was to actually see and remember the clues that I didn’t understand at that time. My marriage was about to come to an abrupt end.”

In a final humiliation, Donatacci revealed she was dumped by Grammer in June during a phone call from a common pal.

“I got a phone call from a mutual friend telling me that my marriage was over,” she revealed on “The View.” “No, he didn’t [call himself].”

A rep for Donatacci declined comment yesterday. Grammer’s spokesman did not immediately return messages.
