Obama, First Lady dish on home life

There really is no rest for the weary.

President Obama can’t escape his critics, even when he’s behind closed doors with his family.

“I’ve got three opinionated, strong, tall women,” Obama told People magazine. “If they get together, they can have fun about my ears or being too loud or how I dress.”

The president and First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with the magazine for their annual interview recently. The conversation dealt with news-worthy topics, like the ObamaCare website debacle and the continuing NSA controversy, but also touched on smaller, more relatable subjects like the family’s home life.

For instance, the Obamas are like any parents, in that their daughters — Malia, 15, and Sasha, 12 — are continually embarrassed by them.

“Malia had friends over, and there was a question about whether she was going to even introduce them [to her dad], because sometimes he gets a little formal, asking them about school and interests,” Michelle said. “She says, ‘I don’t know if my friends can handle that.'”

“But she said that you actually did quite well,” she added turning to her husband.
