It’s a new ‘go-round’ for Trump

Central Park contract.

Welcome to Trump Park.

Although Donald Trump’s name has long been affixed to Central Park’s Wollman and Lasker skating rinks — which his company operates — he seems to want to give its entire 843 acres a comb-over.

He’s bidding to take over Tavern on the Green, and is about to ink a 10-year deal to operate the famed Central Park Carousel.

Much the way he rescued Wollman Rink in 1980, Trump stepped in last March to save the carousel when the city booted its prior operator.

He had been paying the city $7,500 a month to run the ride, used by some 250,000 visitors a year at $2 a pop. But under the 10-year contract, his payments would increase from $250,000 to $325,000 over the life of the deal.

A public hearing on the new contract will be held March 7.
