Super ran Bronx dogfights

A Bronx building superintendent pleaded guilty yesterday to conducting dogfights in a deal that will put him in the doghouse for up to three years.

Raul Sanchez, 59, was arrested June 21 after a raid of his Sherman Avenue basement found a den of horrors — 47 abused dogs and a bloodied makeshift fighting arena.

Seventeen of the dogs, ranging in age of 12 weeks to 5 years were euthanized after the raid.

Sanchez lowered his head in Bronx Criminal Court and growled, “Yes” every time he admitted to charges, including animal cruelty, as part of a plea deal.
