LOS ANGELES — Embattled R&B singer Chris Brown crashed his car into a wall in Beverly Hills yesterday, blaming the smashup on his efforts to elude aggressive paparazzi, cops said.
The crash came on the eve of the Grammy Awards, almost exactly four years after Brown assaulted his girlfriend, singer Rihanna, the night before the awards show in 2009.
The singer was not cited or arrested at the scene, police Sgt. Kurt Haefs said. He added the damaged car, reportedly a black Porsche, may have been towed.
