An intoxicated man tried to run across the FDR Drive near East 25 Street when he was struck by a vehicle around 5:30 a.m. today, cops said.
The victim was found by police laying on the pavement and suffered a severe leg injury and head trauma, cops said. He may lose his leg, police said.
The driver remained at the scene, and no criminality is suspected, cops said.
The 28 year-old man is listed in critical condition at Cornell Medical Center, FDNY officials said.
