The left’s idea of ‘Due process’

In defense of killing American citizens without due process, Rich Lowry writes: “It is well established by the courts that an American citizen who is an enemy combatant can be treated as an enemy combatant” (“Cheney’s Revenge” PostOpinion, Feb. 8).

What if it’s not completely clear that someone is an enemy combatant?

Do politicians, as opposed to judges, get to make that call?

Be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it — if we haven’t got it already.

Presidential war powers have always caused heated debates.

The fact is, any and all measures should be on the table in the effort to protect American lives.

The short-memory syndrome that Democrats are displaying is proof that we made a serious mistake again by electing a party that hasn’t had a new idea since Bill Clinton’s overhaul of the welfare system.

The “gotcha” party never says sorry to the public for blundering policy, but is quick to offer its high moral integrity while judging others.
