Naeem Khan

The Who: Khan’s pal Matt Damon sat front row with wife Luciana Barroso, a few seats away from NY Housewife Carole Radziwill. On the other side of the runway were Brooke Shields, Taraji P. Henson, Vanessa Hudgens, Shay Mitchell and Morgan Saylor.

The What: Khan opened with a black trumpet gown adorned with a crystallized collar, cuff and waist, opening a figurative floodgate of glamour. Crystal beading gleamed from chiffon gowns and radiated against tulle and organza. A pair of tuxedo trousers was graced with a bold, faille overskirt, and an Ottoman embroidery was as luxe on a cocktail dress as it was on a kaftan. Gowns in black, red, peacock and blush were done in column, slip and trapeze cuts, with open backs adding extra allure to red carpet-ready dresses.

The Highlight: Crowning one garment queen is too tall an order, given that Khan produced an impressive 47 looks. The vast majority were stunning.

The Takeaway: We predict seeing at least one of Khan’s gowns on Oscar night; maybe two.
