$12M Spidey ‘hard fall’ suit

A stuntman who played Spider-Man on Broadway filed two suits yesterday that claim negligence in the rigging of his acrobatic harness during the blockbuster musical’s troubled previews.

Richard Kobak said he endured “repeated violent, hard, harsh and jolting landings” after performing high-flying maneuvers as the costumed super-hero.

The Manhattan federal-court filings seek a combined $12 million in damages from Fisher Technical Services, which designed the gear, and Live Nation, which supplied it to the show’s producers.

Kobak replaced the original stuntman, who was injured when he fell 35 feet into the orchestra pit during a 2010 performance of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.”

Fisher Technical declined to comment. Live Nation didn’t return e-mails.
