GOLF: Daly shoots imperfect 10, Scott 1 back

John Daly was proud of a beautiful pitch from 30 yards to a foot of the cup. It allowed him to limit the damage to a 10.

It was the 15th time Daly has made at least a 10 on one hole — at least on the PGA Tour.

Among golfers who made it to the weekend, Shawn Stefani pieced together a 1-under 70 to lead by one shot over Adam Scott and past champion K.J. Choi, who had a 67. Scott played bogey-free for a 66.
