Can we just say, they never cast an actor from the Middle East to play Jesus. The actors who’ve played Christ our Lord have been Swedish, Canadian, British (Christian Bale) and now Portuguese. proving that Jesus, as depicted in the movies and miniseries below, is truly international.

No one was thinking “We need a Bible story for Easter” at the networks, but Mark Burnett showed that if you have the right story, the audience will come. The History Channel’s “Bible” miniseries joins “The Ten Commandments” and other films that glorify the stories and parables in the Old and New Testaments.
