Hedge fund boss pleads guilty to downloading child porn

A Manhattan hedge fund honcho who authored several financial strategy books, pleaded guilty today to using his home computer to download child pornography.

Ezra Zask, 63, founder and president of  SFC Associates, a Manhattan consulting firm, admitted to a Manhattan Supreme Court judge that he knowingly possessed 10 videos on his computer that depicted children under the age of 16 engaged in sexual activity.

Zask, who lives in Murray Hill, was arrested in July after a search warrant served at his apartment found the videos and photos of children.

He pleaded guilty to a single count of possession, a felony, and he’s been promised ten years probation and must register as a sex offender..

Zask could have faced up to seven years in jail on the charges.

Zask, who has taught at Yale, Princeton and Fordham, is the author of “Global Investment Risk Management,” “The E-Finance Report” and “Grow Your Wealth: How to Manage Your Portfolio and Control Risk Like a Pro.”
