Lifeline for Brooklyn hospital

A Brooklyn judge kept Long Island College Hospital on life support yesterday after issuing a temporary restraining order against the closure of the Brooklyn medical center.

As the ruling came down, supporters of the hospital planned to take to TV with a graphic ad showing people dying if the facility is closed. The spots are set to begin airing on NY1 tomorrow.

The group, made up of Cobble Hill residents, raised funds for the production and said they have enough money to run the ad for at least one month.

Supreme Court Justice Johnny Lee Baynes set a May 2 hearing to review the case.
