Metro-North New Haven and Harlem line trains were delayed for up to 20 minutes Thursday morning because of a disabled train near the Fordham station in the Bronx.
The eastbound train broke down about 5:58 a.m., interrupting eastbound service and causing delays on inbound trains as well.
“Outbound trains still have about 20 minute delays while inbound are on or close [to schedule]” MTA spokeswoman Meredith Daniels told The Post.
Steamed passengers predictably took to Twitter to vent.
“@MetroNorth Another 30 min delay today. Your service has been so bad lately, don’t even think about raising prices ANY TIME SOON!” tweeted Noelle@swissmommy.
It was the second day in a row of delays on the New Haven line. On Wednesday, a train broke down in East Norwalk, Conn., about 6 a.m., forcing passengers to get off and pile onto an already-crowded, late train to Grand Central.
