HOOPS: Liu Brooklyn’s Boyd will be back

LIU Brooklyn’s Julian Boyd will be granted a medical redshirt after playing in just eight games this season due to a torn ACL and will be eligible to play next season. It will be his sixth season with the team, having missed the 2009-10 season due to a heart condition. Boyd was the 2011-12 NEC Player of the Year. — Howie Kussoy
