Party-ing shot for Green?

Danny Green was obviously torn up by his poor performances in the final two games of the NBA Finals.

Just hours after his Spurs were defeated by the Heat in Game 7 of the championship series, Green was pictured embracing LeBron James at Miami’s Story nightclub. The photo makes it unclear if Green, who hails from North Babylon, L.I., was actually partying with the players who just broke his team’s heart, but Twitter was buzzing early Friday about the awkward appearance.

“Somebody should explain to me why Danny Green was at Story going STRONG with us about 6 hours ago… couldn’t believe my eyes,” wrote Cedric Brown, who describes himself as the “new media coordinator” for “The Heat Group.”

Green went a combined 2-for-19 over the final two games of the series, both Spurs losses. After averaging 18 points in the first five games of the series, the 6-foot-6 swingman had just eight points combined in Games 6 and 7.

Green and James played together in 2009-10 with the Cavaliers and are friendly, but cavorting with the team that just ended your team’s season during its victory celebration is a no-no even by today’s NBA standards.
