NYPD hit with $niff penalty

This is nothing to sneeze at.

Mark Deas, of Brooklyn, has won a five-figure settlement from the NYPD after cops allegedly beat him unconscious because he blew his nose into a tissue, says a Brooklyn federal court filing.

Cops suspected Deas — pulled over in his work van in 2010 — was hiding something in the tissue, according to his suit filed by attorney Steven Lynch.

When they found he wasn’t, they allegedly bashed him with fists and a walkie-talkie before spraying him with Mace.

Deas, who had no prior criminal record, ended up with a skull fracture, says his suit. All charges were dropped.
