1 dead after car plows into kids at church fest

One person was killed and several others injured when a woman driving a speeding Jeep mowed down a crowd of kids and teens attending a church fair in Yonkers on Friday night, a report said.

Two sisters, ages 12 and 16, were among the most seriously hurt, but it wasn’t clear if either of the girls was the person killed in the accident,  the Journal News reported.

The crash took place on McLean Avenue near Coyne Park – close to the Bronx line – about 9 p.m.

“The car pulled out. The tires just started spinning. It wasn’t normal. It screeched and sped off,” Joan Ortiz, 40, told The Post.

“They ran right into a group of kids. There had to be at least eight of them. Right after the kids got hit you couldn’t see anything, just smoke and dust.”

Ortiz’s son Luis described the aftermath.

“A girl was screaming, “She’s dead! She’s dead!’” said Luis, who also described one of the victims.

“Her head was bleeding. She was still.”
