A two year-old boy is dead after a boozed up driver plowed into him as he crossed an East Elmhurst street with him mother, cops said.
The boy and his 23-year-old mom were crossing the street on Northern and Junction Boulevard around 9:50 p.m. on Friday when a white 2011 Acura MDX hit the tot, killing him, cops said.
The 35 year-old driver did not flee the scene, and drove the pair to Elmhurst Hospital, where the young boy was pronounced dead, cops said.
The boy’s mother was not injured in the crash.
The driver who is from Queens was arrested and taken into custody, according to police.
Charges were pending.
