NY GOP: Scrap ‘Jimmy Fallon’ tax break for shows filmed in NY

Take that, Jimmy Fallon.

Calling it a case of corporate welfare, the New York Republican Party is proposing scrapping a generous state tax break for movies and TV shows filmed here.

The subsidy was dubbed the “Jimmy Fallon credit” for the next host of “The Tonight Show” — the show Gov. Cuomo and the Legislature were trying to lure back from California in approving the 2013 credit.

Republicans call the $400 million annual subsidy a waste.
