De Blasio family still undecided on Gracie Mansion move

They’re gonna let this turkey cook a bit longer.

After a Thanksgiving family pow-wow, the de Blasios have still not decided whether to ditch their Park Slope digs for the ritzy Upper East Side’s Gracie Mansion, the mayor-elect said Monday.

“There’s still a couple of unanswered questions, a couple of details have to be sorted through – but we’re going to know before this week is out,” Bill de Blasio said at a press conference at City Hall Park.

He had suggested earlier that his son Dante’s commute to Brooklyn Technical HS would be a major factor in the decision.

But on Monday, he said for the first time that it didn’t mean his son was opposed to moving.

“That wasn’t necessarily his firm and final vote. But that was a real concern we had to work through,” said de Blasio.

His appearance came after a luncheon with Assembly Speaker Shelly Silver and dozens of other Assembly Democrats, where his plan to hike the income tax on wealthy New Yorkers took center stage.

The money raised under de Blasio’s plan would be used to fund universal pre-k and after-school programs for all middle schoolers for five years.

“There is tremendous excitement and energy in the Assembly to work together to make the Mayor-elect’s pre-k plan a reality and push forward a broad progressive agenda,” said Silver.

But the measure faces strong opposition in the Republican-controlled state Senate.
