By RAAKHEE MIRCHANDANI and DANICA LO BOYFRIEND’s backLately our shorts mantra has gone from tight and short to loose and slouchy. Think cutoff denim and easy boyfriend-fit bottoms for that comfy worn-in look we’re feeling right now. During the day, we like them with white T-shirts and gladiators or a tank with a vest. To take the look in to a bar or under the stars, all we need is a quick shoe change. We especially dig the flexibility: Roll them up when you want to show more leg, down when you need to keep things under wraps, or cut them so they’re always the perfect length. Note: These aren’t the kind of shorts that get attention from boys. So if you’re into dressing for dudes, Daisy Dukes it is. But we were never those kinds of girls anyway.

Tressing up and downHairstylists and Rsession Tools masterminds Kevin Ryan and Frank Rizzieri created the hairstyle hits for Fashion Week shows including Jason Wu, Milly and Tibi. We’ve just discovered Rsession’s crazy-looking Nalu Waver ($180) curling iron that creates perfectly tousled, natural-looking waves — just weave hair in a figure-eight around the twin barrels. Another brilliant product from Rsession is their new Pin-up Girl Kit ($22) that has all the tools — including this flexi/stretchy “hair bun” insert — and instructions to create retro ponytails, a classic chignon and a cool-girl beehive. Rsession products are available at rsessiontools.com and Ricky’s NYC locations.

Wave helloAt 40,000 square feet, it’s so big, they’re calling it “Epic Hollister.” The little sib label of Abercrombie & Fitch opens a flagship in SoHo today, bringing a whiff of California sunshine to Broadway. OK, more than a whiff — a real West Coast pier winds through the interior, and the store features 77 live feeds of the surf direct from Huntington Beach. Hollister: 600 Broadway, at Houston St., 212-334-1922, hcoridethewave.com.
