Leno’s team

“The Jay Leno Show” will have 13 correspondents appearing on a rotating basis, each providing their own comedy segment. NBC has announced six so far. Here’s an introduction at some of the comedians on Leno’s front line.

* Mikey Day

Mikey Day, 29, will host JMZ, a TMZ parody featuring celebrities in fake situations. In one segment, Day says his girlfriend Selma Blair “does these elaborate magic tricks, and teaches a homeless man how to read.”

* Jim Norton

Jim Norton, 41, who was a guest seven times on “The Tonight Show,” will provide commentary on the segment, “Jim Norton: Uninvited Guest.” Norton secured his new gig in his kitchen. “[Leno head writer] Jack Cohen was on a motorcycle trip and wound up coming to my house. I gave him some sketches I’d written, and they flew me out. It was really weird. I still can’t believe I’m gonna be on the show.”

* Rachael Harris

Rachael Harris, 41, who was seen recently in “The Hangover,” will guide viewers through tough times in her segment, “Recessioning It with Rachael.”

* Dan Finnerty

In a segment called “Music Makes Everything Better,” Finnerty, 38, follows people on tasks like doing laundry or going to the dentist, and serenades them. “I basically break into song, and my backup guys come out of nowhere and do some choreography,” he says.

* D.L. Hughley

D.L. Hughley, 46, will do a

political segment called “D.L. in D.C.” He has had his own ABC sitcom and appeared on “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.”

* Brian Williams

Amusing anchorman Brian Williams, 50, will host a segment called “Stuff That Didn’t Make The News,” which is sure to provide more laughs than the “NBC Nightly News.”
