A prisoner escaped from police custody Wednesday while being transported to Manhattan central booking, authorities said.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released by police, was being taken to the Centre Street building around 10 p.m. with five other prisoners, cops said.
It was not clear how the perpetrator managed to make his great escape, cops said.
He had been arrested for criminal sale of marijuana and also had two open bench warrants, according to police.
