FAMILY TO ‘PREPPY KILLER’: PAY UP

He’s been out of prison for two years, but notorious “Preppy Killer” Robert Chambers has yet to pay a dime of the $25 million wrongful-death judgment against him, the lawyer for his victim’s family said yesterday.

Chambers, 38, has also failed to respond to two subpoenas demanding answers about his finances – and now the family of Jennifer Levin has filed papers asking a judge to find him in contempt of court.

“Ideally, I’d like to put him back in jail,” said Levin family lawyer Michael Barrows.

A hearing was scheduled for June 30.

Chambers killed Levin, 18, in Central Park in 1986 during what he claimed was “rough sex.” He served 15 years on a manslaughter plea.

Chambers defaulted on the Levin lawsuit in 1988. Barrows said he served the subpoenas on Chambers in February, requiring him to come clean about his income, but he never responded.

If the judge does find Chambers in contempt, he could face jail time or, more likely, a fine.

After his release, he worked briefly at a dye mill in Georgia, but it’s unclear what – if anything – he does now.

“We want him to tell us where his bank accounts are, where he lives,” and whether or not he has a job, Barrows said.

He said the Levin family plans to give any money they collect to victims’-rights organizations.

In February, Chambers told The Post he had every intention of paying the judgment, but hadn’t been able to because he didn’t have a job.

Chambers is due in court later this month on drug-possession charges. Last November, he was pulled over and cops said they found traces of crack and heroin in his car.

He claims he’s innocent of those charges.

“I owe $25 million,” he said at the time. “I don’t have the money to get high.”
