There was an emergency evacuation of a commercial flight at JFK Airport this morning.
The flight was bound for Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport, but Delta flight 2921 returned to JFK soon after departing at about 8 a.m., with smoke in the cockpit.
Sixty nine people were evacuated from the aircraft by the Port Authority Police Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Unit. Passengers reported to cops they smelled a burning odor in the cabin.
