De Blasio aide has seizure outside mayor-elect’s house

A young press aide to Bill de Blasio suffered an apparent seizure outside of his Park Slope home early Wednesday, witnesses said.

Lauren Hitt, a 2013 University of Pennsylvania grad who serves as deputy communications director for the Democrat mayor-elect, screamed and collapsed on a sidewalk about 7 a.m.

A witness said she remained prone on her back, with her body thrashing and eyes rolled back into her head as NYPD cops and onlookers rushed to her aid.

A photographer put a blanket beneath Hitt’s head, and she started to come around as an ambulance arrived moments later.

EMTs spoke to her and although she was conscious she was unable to clearly reply to their questions.

She was then was taken to an undisclosed hospital.

Neither De Blasio nor his wife Chirlane McCray came outside to check on his young staffer.

But they emerged about 8:40 a.m. and drove off in a black SUV to visit Hitt at the hospital, where she was alert and back on her feet.

Hitt also worked as a press aide on president Obama’s 2012 campaign and served as an intern for Veep Joe Biden while in college.
