Rolls-Royce driving mom busted for alleged Medicaid fraud

A Staten Island woman was busted Thursday for bilking Medicaid out of at least $47,000 – even as she enjoyed the luxe life in a multi-million dollar Staten Island mansion with a Rolls-Royce and a Mercedes-Benz, law enforcement sources said.

Hasime Lika, 34, collected Medicaid between 2006 and 2011 for herself and her kids even though she was ineligible because of her wealthy hubby, Bill Lika, who owns 14 apartment buildings, the sources said.

“They’re stealing money from people who really need it,” said a law-enforcement source.

“These people are obviously very well off. They don’t need it. It’s a matter of greed.”

Bill Lika has been called out on Twitter and local blogs for being a “slumlord” who rents out, “a building that looks like it was built in a third world country.”

The case was prosecuted by the newly-formed health-care fraud division, which is headed by Lauren Mack and launched in February.
