Chilling photos of Sandy Hook released

The haunting photos of Adam Lanza’s secret lair were revealed for the first time Monday in crime scene photos snapped by the Connecticut State Police.

The pictures, released in a report by by the Connecticut State’s Attorney, show the murderer’s sterile den with windows covered in black trash bags and bare, white-washed walls. Lanza’s bed was neatly made on the day he gunned down 20 first-graders and six employees at at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut last December.

The drawer in Lanza’s night stand was stacked with bullet magazines and his closet contained a gun locker with a white teddy bear sitting atop it. The room was otherwise barren with no personal touches like picture frames or memorabilia on the walls or furniture.

A self-help book by Dr. Teresa Aubele, “Train Your Brain to Get Happy,” was found in his mother Nancy’s bedroom next to the Bushmaster that Lanza used to kill her.

Lanza’s Newtown Technology Team badge, loose change, a cell phone, glasses, Kleenex and ointment were scattered on the floor of the bathroom.

The photos also show for the first time how Lanza entered the school by shooting out the glass window to the right of the locked school-house door.
