GUMBEL DIVORCE NEAR

THE nasty divorce battle between Bryant Gumbel and his estranged wife, June, is nearly over.

The womanizing “Early Show” host and his wife of 27 years, have ironed out the terms of a divorce, Bryant’s lawyer, Stanley Arkin, told The Post.

“The case has been resolved in principle. There has been a resolution between both parties on the major issues,” Arkin said.

June’s lawyer, Barry Slotnick, confirmed that, adding, “It appears we have settled this matter. We are seeking to have an ironclad contract in place by June 1.”

Neither Arkin nor Slotnick would say how much the divorce will set Bryant back, but sources told The Post the figure is in the “tens of millions of dollars.”

June is receiving $700,000 a year in temporary support from Bryant, who rakes in $5 million a year for his chores as co-host of the CBS morning show.

The 51-year-old TV veteran has been living with his longtime mistress, Hilary Quinlan, 41, a former Goldman Sachs research assistant.
