OL’ SOL PLAYING HOLIDAY PEEK-A-BOO

Expect warm temperatures and the threat of thunderstorms – typical summer weather – for the rest of this Fourth of July holiday week.

“The weather shouldn’t put a damper on your holiday plans, just cross your fingers that localized thunderstorms don’t come through during Fourth of July celebrations,” said Bob Chartuk, spokesman for the National Weather Service.

However, he added, “It’s not exactly the ideal beach weekend.”

For today, it will be mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely during morning and later in day. The high will be between 80 and 85, with a 60 percent chance of rain.

For tomorrow through Monday, the forecast calls for cloudy or partly cloudy skies and consistent temperatures in the 80s, with a chance of rain every day.
