Cops collect disturbed man from Manhattan Bridge tracks

A suicidal man was taken into custody after he crawled under the Manhattan Bridge this afternoon, authorities said.

The man climbed down to the train tracks under the bridge at around 3:30 p.m., where he remained for about an hour, cops said.

According to police on scene, emergency services were unable to reach him because the electricity was still running on the tracks.

The man eventually surrendered at 4:30 p.m. where he was taken into custody without incident, cops said.
He was taken to Bellevue for observation.
