MONSTER WHO BEAT GRANNY

Police say this is the cowardly thug who brutally beat a 95-year-old woman and stole $20 from her at her Lower East Side home.

The mugger grabbed Dora Lowin’s purse, then pushed her to the ground and kicked her outside the door of her 17th-floor apartment at the FDR Drive and Grand Street on Saturday.

Her collarbone was broken in the attack. She is recuperating at home after being treated at NYU Medical Center.

Yesterday, a health aide who works for Lowin said she was traumatized and afraid to talk to people about the attack.

“She’s still in shock,” the aide said.

“She’s in a lot of pain. She didn’t go out. She’s still afraid to open the door.”

Lowin was coming back from synagogue and putting her key in the lock at the time of the attack.

She was carrying nearly $60, but the crook only took $20 out of the purse.

The suspect was wearing a blue shirt, denim jeans and brown work boots.

He was described as a bald, light-skinned Hispanic man in his 40s about 5-foot-6 and 150 pounds.

Sketches and surveillance photos of the suspect were posted throughout Lowin’s building yesterday.
